The fabrication of Slyrs Classic Bavarian Whisky is a meticulous process that begins with the selection of high-quality ingredients. Ripe malting barley, sourced from the Munich area, is carefully chosen for its flavor profile. This is paired with pristine water from the nearby Bannwald spring, which is known for its purity and mineral content vital for distilling whisky. The production starts with the mashing of the malted barley, where hot water is added to extract the sugars from the grains. This syrupy wort is then fermented using a special yeast strain that enhances the flavor development. After fermentation, the liquid undergoes distillation in copper pot stills, where it is heated gently to separate the alcohol from the mash while retaining critical flavor compounds.
