The original distillery was established by the Shenk family in 1753 on the site of the future Bomberger’s Distillery in Pennsylvania. For generations, the distillery produced rye whiskey, which was highly regarded until it ceased operations in the 1980s. In 2004, the brand was redefined under the ownership of Chatham Imports after the facilities were procured and restored. The revival of the Michter's name involved reintegrating the time-honored practices of Kentucky bourbon-making while also adapting to innovative distillation methods. Fabrication Process
