Roseisle Maltings

The history of Roseisle Maltings dates back to its opening in 1982, originally established to meet the growing demands of the Scotch whisky industry. In 2007, Diageo, one of the largest spirits companies in the world, announced plans to create a new super-distillery in Morayshire, which materialized with the launch of the Roseisle Distillery in 2009. This lodging of distillation capabilities alongside the existing maltings transformed Roseisle into a significant production hub, noted for its ecological design and efficiency in production. Celebrating milestones like the 25th anniversary in 2011 underlines the facility's reputation and sustained importance within the whisky industry.

Roseisle is situated in the picturesque region of Morayshire, known for its lush landscapes and proximity to the River Spey, which is integral to many Scotch whisky productions. The geography of the area offers a unique microclimate favorable for mashing and fermentation processes essential for whisky crafting.
