Fat Cats Cocktail House, located at 5 Calle del Infante in Madrid’s Las Letras district, is a hidden gem inspired by the legendary "Fat Cat Burglars" of the 1970s. This intimate speakeasy blends vintage luxury with mystery, offering guests an immersive escape into an era of glamour and intrigue. Designed by Alejandra Pombo, the interior reflects the opulence of the time, featuring plush furnishings, warm lighting, and period-inspired accents. A discreet entrance and a jewelry-adorned window heighten the bar’s air of secrecy and allure. The cocktail program, developed in collaboration with the acclaimed 1862 Dry Bar, focuses on elegant reimaginings of classic recipes. Signature drinks include the “Golden Dream,” a refined take on the Boulevardier, and the “Treasures Upstairs,” a smoky reinterpretation of the Margarita. Each cocktail is crafted with balance, creativity, and a nod to timeless flavors. Fat Cats also offers guided tasting experiences, inviting guests to sample house favorites while learning about the venue’s concept and inspiration. These curated sessions provide a deeper connection to the bar’s identity and approach to mixology. Open Sunday through Thursday from 7 PM to 2 AM, and Friday and Saturday from 6 PM to 2:30 AM, Fat Cats maintains an intimate atmosphere with limited seating.
